Janet Jackson ‘Spotlight’ Gives ABC Ratings Boost

The spotlight was on Janet Jackson and ABC Wednesday. According to ratings released Thursday, the ABC helmed television special “In The Spotlight with Robin Roberts: Janet Jackson” was the second most watched broadcast in the 10pm timeslot. Second only to CSI: New York, Jackson’s ‘In The Spotlight’ special was viewed by over 6.7 million people. Speaking with Roberts, for the first time at length, about her brother, Michael Jackson’s death, growing up a ‘Jackson’ and her return to music and film, Janet Jackson invited cameras into her Malibu, California home this month. At one point referring to her late brother’s death and Dr. Conrad Murray, Jackson said “I think he is responsible”.
