Marques Houston chose to suit up with his own pen and a mature mindset on “Mr. Houston,” his fourth solo studio album. In stores this week, the “Body” singer says “Mr. Houston” is “more adult”. ” It is the first album I actually wrote and produced the entire thing. Detail executive produced with me as well but, itâs just more adult. This album is a little bit different than the last. Youâll see the maturity in the music and everything,” Houston tells Singersroom. “You learn; you mature; and the more and more you stay in the business, the more you learn. This album reflects all of that growth. Everytime you do an album you donât want it to be too different from your last but, you just have that natural growth and natural progress as an artist,” Houston went on to say. Houston’s new album precedes the premiere of his next film project “Boogie Town”. “Mr. Houston” arrives in stores Tuesday, September 29.
