Mariah Carey says Tuesday’s release of “Memoirs of an Imperfect Angel” will be festive for fans, especially those who have previous releases like “E=MC2” and “The Emancipation of Mimi”. “There’s a little bit of almost every album I’ve done on this new one,” says Carey. “It’s like I put everything in a blender and made drinks for my friends. They’re festive drinks, though some are bittersweet.” Led by the single “I Want To Know What Love Is,” Carey’s forthcoming effort arrives in stores Tuesday. Plagued by release date changes, controversy over album packaging and postponed appearances in September, “Memoirs of an Imperfect Angel” finds Carey comfortable and perhaps the happiest she’s ever been. “I’m at such a good place in my life, and that allows me to be honest. And to enjoy things,” Carey tells USA Today. “Memoirs of an Imperfect Angel” hits stores and digital retailers September 29.
