Mary J. Blige is said to have been humble and intent on learning as much as she could during filming for Tyler Perry’s I Can Do Bad All By Myself’. Now that the film is in theaters Blige looks forward to future roles in film. “I know I’m definitely gonna pursue this as a profession, acting. I was definitely bitten by the acting bug,” says Blige. Things weren’t all that great from before filming though, Blige says “I was definitely nervous, because acting is not my first profession, so I had to go and get an acting coach and really figure this thing out. It helped a lot. It relaxed me to have a little more information about it.” “I find that actors are highly underrated; they don’t get all the credit they deserve, because this is a hard job,” Blige went on to tell CNN. But, according to one of her co-star’s Blige is a bona-fide actress worthy of credit. “I would say Mary J. Blige is a legitimate actress now,” Actor Brian White told Singersroom. Admittedly a fan of Blige’s music, White says “She was just humble, grounded, spiritual and extremely talented.” ‘I Can Do Bad All By Myself’ is in theaters now.
