R&B is taking over stores, radio, television and digital retailers with some of the most anticipated releases and television appearances in some time. Leading the pack is ‘The Voice,’ better known as Whitney Houston. Houston’s highly anticipated album, “I Look To You,” arrives in stores Monday. Featuring the singles “I Look To You” and “Million Dollar Bill,” Houston’s first album in nearly seven years includes production and writing from R. Kelly, Alicia Keys, Swizz Beatz and more. Fueling the momentum is Houston’s anticipated appearance on ABC’s Good Morning America. Set for September 2, Houston will perform select songs from “I Look To You,” likely including “Million Dollar Bill”. Joining Houston, this summer’s best selling R&B/soul singer Maxwell, is due to perform live. According to Jimmy Kimmel Live, Maxwell will take the stage to perform songs from his hit album “BlackSummers’Night” on Friday. Before Maxwell heats up the Jimmy Kimmel Live stage, “Brand New” singer Trey Songz will release his latest effort. Titled “Ready,” Songz album arrives in stores and digital retailers, as does Whitney Houston’s “I Look To You,” Monday, August 31.
