Embattled singer Chris Brown must complete 1,400 hours of physical, and not community service related, labor according to Los Angeles Superior Court judge Patricia Schnegg. Schnegg handed down the strict ‘physical’ labor only sentence during an unexpected sentencing at a Los Angeles area courtroom Tuesday. Originally due in court Thursday, Brown’s sentencing was moved up two days Tuesday morning on grounds that required documentation from Brown’s state of Virginia had arrived and had been reviewed. Schnegg, the same judge who witnessed Brown’s guilty plea in June, said she wants to see the “Kiss Kiss” singer doing “actual physical labor” in lieu of less stringent community service. In addition to serving 1,400 hours of labor oriented service, Brown was sentenced to five years of probation and will be required to complete domestic violence counseling. While Brown had requested that his probation and ‘1,400 hours’ be served in his home state of Virginia, Schegg ordered that his probation will be overseen by the state of California. Guilty of felony assault, Brown must continue to abide by a restraining order that say she must stay 50 yards away from Rihanna and 10 yards if the two are at the same industry-related event. The order remains in place through 2014. As previously reported on Singersroom, Chris Brown plead guilty to felony assault charges after beating fellow entertainer Rihanna in February. The couple had been in Los Angeles for events surrounding the 51st Annual Grammy Awards.
