Mariah Carey’s “Memoirs of an Imperfect Angel” is officially pushed back again. Sources at Def Jam confirmed Carey’s rumored delay late Thursday, after days of speculation surrounding the project and a number of appearances leading up to the intended September 15 release date being axed. According to Def Jam, the reason for the delay is that Carey has not completed the album and needs to return to the studio to record additional songs. In addition, a post made on Carey’s official website Thursday, confirms the news. “Mariah is putting the finishing touches on her newest album, Memoirs of an Imperfect Angel, and we have shifted all our TV and promo appearances to coincide with the new release date of September 29.” “We cant’ wait for the fans to hear the new album.” As previously reported on Singersroom, Carey has canceled a planned performance on NBC’s Today Show and postponed her Hollywood Walk of Fame ceremony.
