The anticipated sixth studio album from Diamond-certified recording artist Usher is just about complete ! Speaking of the album, tentatively titled “Monster,” Usher thanked Las Vegas for its hospitality while recording Friday. “I came here to Vegas to close out the album and we did our last few sessions last night,” Usher told the Las Vegas Sun. “Within the next few weeks — few days — weâre going to be finished with it.” Usher has been recording “Monster” since fall of 2008, spending much of his time in the Las Vegas area both recording and preparing for the album’s release. Slated for release in October, “Monster” will be the first effort to come from Usher he shockingly filed for divorce over the summer. Speaking of the effort, Usher says “On this album, the influences came from places Iâve gone myself, the reality of circumstances of choice.” Usher’s last album “Here I Stand” was released in May of 2008, nearly a year after the singer tied the knot with former stylist Tameka Foster. Prior to “Here I Stand” Usher unleashed the Diamond-selling and record setting 2004 effort “Confessions”.
