Chris Brown has returned to the top 10, or at least the iTunes top 10. According to data released Wednesday, Brown’s over a year old song “Forever” is now on iTunes’ top 10 songs list. News of the leap in downloads follows the embattled singer/actor’s plea of guilty in the long-standing assault case involving fellow entertainer Rihanna. Nonetheless, Brown’s return to the top 10 may just be the beginning of a slow rise back to the prominence he held prior to February of 2009. In related news, Billboard says Brown may owe newlyweds Jill Peterson and Kevin Heinz a wedding gift. Peterson and Heinz are featured in a YouTube video, titled “JK Wedding Entrance,” that features their entire wedding party dancing down the aisle to Brown’s “Forever”. Like other YouTube phenomenons, including ‘Scarlet Takes A Tumble’ and Pretty Ricky’s “Tipsy” video, “JK Wedding Entrance” is floating across the net and had over 10 million views at press time. Sources say buzz surrounding Brown and the “JK Wedding Entrance” video has skyrocketed to levels only seen days after Brown’s assault on Rihanna before the Grammy Awards.
