Janet Jackson may end up raising the late King of Pop, Michael Jackson’s children after all. “She has said, ‘I’ll step forward and I will raise them if this is what they want,” Inside Edition’s Jim Moret told CBS over the weekend. News of Jackson’s intent follows speculation that her brother, Michael Jackson, had expressed concern over his mother taking care of the three children alone and thus asked Janet to step in. The children, Michael Joseph Jackson Jr., known as Prince, Paris Michael Katherine Jackson, and Prince Michael Jackson II, known as Blanket, are currently at the Jackson family home in Encino, Calif., with Michael’s mother, Katherine Jackson. It seems to be clear that Jackson did not want his father, Joe Jackson, to care for the children. A custody hearing is scheduled to take place today, Monday July 20. ** Update: The custody hearing scheduled for Monday, July 20 has been moved to August 3.
