Maxwell’s first album in nearly eight years looks to be locked in for a number one debut on next week’s Billboard 200 albums chart. According preliminary figures, the “Pretty Wings” singer’s album “BlackSummers’Night” will come in with anywhere from 275,000 – 325,000 copies moved in its first week! Led by “Pretty Wings’ and the current single “Bad Habits” Maxwell’s Columbia distributed album could very well top 2001’s “Now”. Upon its release “Now” moved a record 296,000 copies, a career high for Maxwell. As previously reported on Singersroom, Maxwell’s new album is just one of three releases slated to come forth from the “Matrimony” singer in the next few years.
