Michael Jackson will remain atop the pop catalog albums chart when sales figures are released Wednesday. According to HitsDailyDouble, Jackson’s “Number Ones,” has alone, sold 255,000 copies at Walmart. Accounting for other retailers the set could come in with close to 300,000 copies moved. As previously reported on Singersroom, Jackson dominated 8 of 10 spots on the top 10 nearly a week after his untimely death. Collectively the “Bad” singer moved a total of 415,000 albums, not including releases with his brothers as the Jackson 5. On the digital chart, Michael Jackson is no.1 with 80,000 downloads of his “The Essential Michael Jackson” collection, followed by “Thriller” with 57,000 copies downloaded. The late King of Pop will be memorialized Tuesday at Los Angeles’ Staples Center.
