R&B singer/actor Mario surprised us with his new ‘clean cut’ look this spring. According to the man himself, the new look is comfortable and “feels good”. “It really allows me to feel good. Not to sound cocky (…) but I feel like I can do anything and I’m comfortable with it,” Mario tells Singersroom. “I got this product I just put on my hair (and) my face where I don’t want the hair then just wipe it off and it’s gone.” With that said, Mario admits that going for the bald/clean look is more efficient, especially after rocking braids early on in his career (sans the single “Braid My Hair”). In fact, it seems as though every R&B male artist who donned the braided look in the early 2000s has gone for a short cut. In addition to Mario, both Trey Songz and Omarion cut their locks last year. “My motivation behind it was really me getting tired of getting cuts. No razors, none of that”. In related news, Mario is gearing up for the release of his next album titled “And Then There Was Me…”. The effort, due later this year, follows his 2007 album “Go”.
