Results from this week’s top searches indicate that alleged nude photographs of Rihanna dominated search traffic for at least half the week. In fact, searches for Rihanna were up 600% at Google ! According to reports found at Google and revealed through Nielsen/Blog Buzz, blogs referencing Rihanna increased upon news of her first red carpet appearance since February on May 5, but surged some 133% between Friday, May 8 and Saturday, May 9th ! As previously reported on Singersroom, several alleged photographs of the singer in a hotel room bathroom surfaced Friday, May 8 accompanied by a photograph of man who bared striking resemblence to Chris Brown sitting on a bed in what appeared to be the same hotel room. After the release of the photos Rihanna’s team sent letters to have the photographs removed from blogs and other internet sources. The letters were then followed by Brown’s team dismissing reports that he was involved in the leak of the photos during the same weekend. According to Google, Rihanna searches jumped again some 90% Monday, May 11 and have since declined. Rihanna, nor her team, have come forward to deny or confirm that the photos were indeed taken by the “Take A Bow” singer. In related news, Rihanna has been nominated for several awards with T.I. for their hit single “Live Your Life” at the forthcoming BET Awards. The BET Awards 09′ will air Sunday, June 28 from Los Angeles’ Shrine Auditiorium.
