Marvin Sapp paid tribute to hundreds of deserving mothers at a special Mother’s Day tribute concert with the help of Grammy-winning inspirational star Yolanda Adams. According to Baltimore Sun’s Gospelrama, Sapp took the stage with Ricky Dillard at the Hampton Coliseum in Virginia Saturday night. He will also perform a series of songs including “Never Would Have Made It” at a special Sunday concert at the 1st Mariner Arena where Kirk Franklin will join in the festivities. Sapp’s new single “Praise Him In Advance” is currently at no.4 on the Gospel National Airplay Chart. In other news, BET will wrap up its second season ‘Sunday Best’ during a special Mother’s Day showdown between its two finalists Y’anna Crawley and Jessica Reedy. Crawley and Reedy will sing one last time in hopes of winning a national recording contract, a 2009 Lincoln MKS and the title of Sunday Best. Crawley, a 32 year old single mother from the Washington, DC area and Reedy, a 20 year old single mom from Saginaw, Michigan made it to the finals with the approval of multi-Grammy Award winning host Kirk Franklin and Gospel greats Mary Mary and BeBe Winans. ‘Sunday Best’ airs tonight at 9pm only on BET.
