Jamie Foxx Set On Mike Tyson Role, Rights To Film

Jamie Foxx might have been inspired by Mike Tyson years ago but one might say the currently showing Tyson documentary has upped the ante. Today, Foxx says he’s got to play Mike Tyson and is looking into securing rights for the flick. “I think I would have to play Mike Tyson. I’ve talked to Mike several times and his story is the most tragic American story,” Foxx shared with WENN recently. If Foxx has his way, there could be a big screen (theatrical release) Mike Tyson story in theatres soon. “Mike’s story is about what America and the world is about today. Coming up at 18 years old and getting his $60 million and not teaching him what taxes are about, about vultures, about people who will never be real with you as long as you have the money,” Foxx adds, is important for the world to see. Foxx can be seen now in the motion picture “The Soloist” alongside Robert Downey Jr.
