Noted film director Spike Lee will be honored at the forthcoming 35th Seattle International Film Festival this May. Lee, known widely for films such as “Do The Right Thing” and “She Hate Me,” will be presented with the 2009 Golden Space Needle Award for Outstanding Achievement in Directing on May 23 as part of special tribute. In related news, Lee is said to be busy at work on an anticipated Michael Jordan documentary in addition to working on the follow up to “Inside Man”. The 35th Annual Seattle International Film Festival runs May 21 to June 14.
