American Idol alum and inspirational recording star Mandisa believes that, in these times, it is important to stay focused on what God can and will do for you if you trust him. “No matter what youâre going through we are in a relationship with a God that says he will take all of our burdens on him and in turn he will give us a likeness that comes from a relationship with him,” Mandisa told Singersroom during a recent interview where she not only addressed songs on her new album Freedom, like “Leave It In The Valley” and “Definition of Me,” but a renewal of sorts. Addressing a phenomenal weight loss and new diet, Mandisa says: “The most difficult part has been changing my mind set on those things and not turning to food in order to find comfort and in order to feel satisfaction. Iâm really having to turn the Lord. I think changing my mind set has been the most difficult part, but itâs the reason why the weight is not going to come back because Iâve gotten to the root of the issue.” For more on Mandisa’s sit down with Singersroom CLICK HERE to read the interview, one of Singersroom’s LifeStyle Features.
