Hundreds of Michael Jackson items, including prized outfits and awards, are still slated to hit the auction block according to a California judge. According to published reports, Jackson’s bid to have the auction halted and the items returned failed Friday however, the judges ruling is unlikely to be the last word on who ends up with the items. “We have to proceed because we have no choice,” auctioneer Darren Julien told reporters after the judges “proceed” order was handed down. Julien’s Auction house has reportedly spent more than $2 million arranging the sale of the Jackson’s items and could bankrupt if the sale was stopped, Julien’s lawyer told Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Brett Klein. A separate ruling is expected to come down from a different judge on April 15 due to an injunction filed by the singer’s company MJJ Productions.
