Grammy nominated R&B/soul singer Wayna has been cleared of all charges after being arrested at a Houston area airport for carrying a collapsible police baton. According to Houston-based reports, Wayna’s case was dismissed by Judge Jeannine Barr during a brief hearing at the Harris County Criminal Justice Center Friday. Wayna, a recent Grammy Award nominee, was arrested after she tried to board a plane while carrying a police baton that is normally used while performing “Billie Club” — ironically a song about police brutality. No further information was available at press time however, sources say prosecutors requested that the judge dismiss the third-degree felony case.
