Gospel Icon BeBe Winans has been booked on domestic assault charges according to Tennessee reports ! Winans, known widely for both his solo recordings and collaborations with CeCe Winans, was arrested after allegedly pushing his ex-wife and mother of his children to the ground during an argument last month. In court documents obtained by thesmokinggun.com, Winans, currently serving as a judge on BET’s hit singing competition Sunday Best, got into a verbal altercation over custody issues dealing with their children. An official affidavit filed in February, says Winans then became irate when “the victim was telling the defendant (Winans) of issues with the children”. The affidavit goes on to says “the defendant pushed the victim to the ground, the victim was in fear of bodily injury”. Winans is reportedly free on $1,000 bond after being arrested on a misdemeanor domestic assault charge.
