Award-winning Gospel and R&B singer Tonex is back and ready to bring his unique musical talent to the forefront with the long anticipated album “Unspoken” ! Set for release, March 17th, “Unspoken” becomes the former “Out The Box” singer’s first album under a new deal with Battery Records and first release in five years. For Gospel and R&B fans alike, Tonex’s new album comes as a transition for the artist who raised eyebrows with his take on gospel and experimental music. Unlike the singer’s previous efforts, “Unspoken” will head in more of a mainstream direction while still visiting Gospel roots. “I didn’t want to alienate the fan base generated from the Out The Box phenomenon. Even though I appreciate that album’s success, I felt that there were so many people from different demographics I still had yet to reach. I made the transition from Verity Records to Battery Records to facilitate that career evolution.” “Unspoken” will be led by the single “Blend,” a record Tonex says represents “who I’ve been all along by bringing that artist to the masses for the first time.” “Blend” is currently streaming on Tonex’s myspace page and gaining traction at urban radio where it is among the most added songs this month.
