R&B star Chris Brown is “cool” over his arrest on felony criminal threats charges, according to close friend T.I. Brown, 19, turned himself into police on Sunday (Feb. 9) after a heated altercation with girlfriend Rihanna in a vehicle in Los Angeles earlier that day, as Singersroom previously reported Rapper T.I. has since spoken to Brown, and says the singer is doing OK over the incident. T.I., who stopped by Last Call With Carson Daly to speak on his recent Grammy Awards win for Best Rap Performance By A Duo Or Group for “Swagga Like Us,” tells Daly, “Yeah, I spoke to him today. He cool, you know. I guess he a little concerned about the situation, but heâs still the same Chris.â (See video below) And T.I., who is set to serve around a year in jail beginning next month (Mar09) after pleading guilty to federal weapons charges, has pleaded with the public not to pass judgement on Brown. He adds, “I told him this too shall pass. Hey man, you people gotta remember, we celebrities and we entertainers but we still human. All of us. Donât expect us not to make mistakes âcause we will.â As of what really happened, T.I. says he doesnât know. Brown was released from custody on Sunday (Feb. 8) after posting $50,000 bail. He will face charges in court on March 5.
