Beyonce, Chris Brown ‘Double Up’ On Kids Choice Award Nominations

Chart-topping singers Beyonce and Chris Brown have doubled up on Nickelodeon’s infamous ‘orange-blimps’ according to 2009 Kids’ Choice Award organizers. Revealed during a special nomination ceremony Friday, the “Single Ladies” and “Forever” singers are among nominees for the annual ‘slime fest’ on Nickelodeon where they’ll compete with Rihanna, the Pussycat Dolls, Alicia Keys, Daughtry, Katy Perry and this year’s top nominee Miley Cyrus. Beyonce, who is atop the R&B/Hip Hop songs chart for a 12th consecutive week with “Single Ladies,” earned nods for Favorite Song (“Single Ladies”) and Favorite Female Singer. Beyonce will face off with Alicia Keys, Miley Cyrus and Rihanna in the Favorite Female Singer category. The latter of the three, Rihanna, has also nabbed two nominations including a nod for Favorite Song (“Don’t Stop The Music”). She’ll face off with her “Umbrella partner” Chris Brown who is nominated for his hit “Kiss Kiss” in the same category, in addition to a nod for Favorite Male Singer.
