R&B singer/songwriter John Legend has snagged the green light from Superbowl organizers to perform his hit single “Green Light” during pre-game festivities. Set to perform Sunday, Legend will be joined by T-Pain, who will fill in for Andre 3000, who appears on the original version of “Green Light”. Sunday’s performance becomes John Legend’s second at a Superbowl related event. Legend performed during a special tribute to Motown at Superbowl XL in Detroit. In related news, John Legend is expected to appear at next weekend’s 51st Annual Grammy Awards where he is up for two awards including Best Rap/Sung Collaboration (“Green Light” feat. Andre 3000).
