Due to the global economic crisis Janet Jackson has reportedly scrapped her anticipated Japan tour. In a statement released Monday, Jackson’s team said the economic slowdown no longer made the tour profitable. “Due to the impact of the global economic crisis, she has been obliged to delay her tour,” says Kyodo Yokohama. According to Yokohama, tickets, which started at 9,800 yen (110 dollars) each, will be refunded. Jackson had been due to perform on February 14 and 15 at a major concert venue in the Tokyo suburb of Saitama. She had also been due to play in Osaka, Nagoya and Fukuoka.
