Taking spirit to new heights, BET is kicking off two of its most heavily watched gospel/inspirational programs this winter. Airing Sunday, Jan. 25 is BET’s Celebration of Gospel, the network’s annual soul stirring celebration featuring both gospel and mainstream greats. Hosted by radio personality Steve Harvey, this year’s celebration will be led by musical director Ray Chew and his 24-piece orchestra and gospel superstars Mary Mary who are joined by LL Cool J for a passionate performance of their new collaboration “We Gonna Make It”. Kirk Franklin, Isaac Carree, Rance Allen, Smokie Norful,, Heather Headley, Trin-i-tee 5:7, 21:03, Marvin Sapp, Pastor Shirley Caesar, Dr. Bobby Jones, Donnie McClurkin, Karen Clark Sheard, Vickie Winans and many more are featured during the two-hour celebration. ‘BET’s Celebration of Gospel’ airs Jan. 25 at 8pm ET. Moving forward in its second year is BET’s reality series Sunday Best. Sunday Best, which crowned its winner Crystal Aikin last spring, will return to primetime on March 8th. The first season of SUNDAY BEST finished on a high note, as the show’s live season finale garnered a 1.3 BET Coverage rating with more than 1.2 million households and 1.7 million viewers tuning in to see who won the honor of being America’s next great gospel singer. SUNDAY BEST welcomes back as its host gospel great Kirk Franklin and judges; multi-award winning siblings Erica and Tina Campbell of Mary Mary and Grammy Award-winning singer BeBe Winans.Sunday Best will premiere March 8 at 9pm ET only on BET
