They say behind every successful or great man is a great woman, for R&B/soul singer Anthony Hamilton his wife Tarsha is a source of inspiration, so much so that they’re considering adoption. “I want to share my story because I feel we heal through each others testimony” says Tarsha Hamilton. “Anthony was adopted later on in his childhood. We talked about this before we got married and it’s something we are both really passionate about.” Hamilton, who also has an album out entitled “The McMillan Story,” says they’re considering opening their home to a child in need soon. “Its very important since we are blessed, that we allow a child into our home since there are so many children that need homes.” Tarsha Hamilton’s vision extends to her album, a mix of soul, R&B, gospel and even the slightest tinge of rock: “The McMillan Story,” (accurately titled after her maiden name). In an interview with Jonesin EB Style, McMillan Hamilton says “It’s my testimony all in a nutshell, as far as how I grew up and my faith. I don’t believe in putting people in boxes as long as your singing good clean music. Its a shame I have to label my music inspirational because if I label it gospel and then I do a R&B song, then they label you not saved anymore. I want people to free the artists up and let them be.” “The McMillan Story” is available via iTunes.
