Tank’s debut album Force of Nature was released in 2001 on Atlantic Records to positive reviews. The lead single “Maybe I Deserve” peaked at number 19 on the US Billboard Hot 100 chart. Other popular tracks included “One Man”, “You Don’t Know” and “Can I”. Tank followed up with a second album titled One Man in 2005 which featured production from Timbaland and Scott Storch as well as guest appearances from Jaheim and Tyrese Gibson. It spawned two hit singles: “One Man” featuring Jamie Foxx which peaked at number 14 on the US Billboard Hot 100 Chart; and “I Can’t Make You Love Me” featuring Tyrese Gibson which went all the way up to number 8 on the same chart.

In 2006 Tank released his third album Sex Love & Pain on Blackground Records which debuted at number 2 on the Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart. This project received commercial success due to its lead single “Please Don’t Go” peaking at number 4 on the US Billboard Hot 100 chart becoming Tank’s biggest solo hit until then. Other popular singles include “Sex Music”, “Lost In Ya Love” featuring Chris Brown; while collaborations with Trey Songz (“Game Time”) & Ginuwine (“Last Chance”) also gained some attention from fans. With each release, Tank continues to experiment musically keeping freshness alive in his soundscape even after nearly two decades in music industry!

Notable Collaborations And Features

Tank has also collaborated with some of the biggest names in music, further cementing his place as one of contemporary R&B’s most defining artists. He appeared on Omarion’s 2007 hit single “Ice Box” and collaborated with Chris Brown on the 2010 track “Take My Time”. Tank was even featured on Trey Songz’ 2012 album Chapter V alongside fellow singer T-Pain; delivering a stellar performance on their collaboration titled “Lonely”. On top of that, he wrote Rihanna’s 2013 smash hit “Pour It Up” which peaked at number 8 on the US Billboard Hot 100 chart.

In addition to teaming up with major acts, Tank has been sought after for features by other rising stars in the industry such as Jacquees and Ella Mai who invited him onto her 2018 mixtape Ready. In 2019, Tank returned to the spotlight when he joined forces with Ty Dolla Sign for an epic duet called “When We” from his fifth studio album Elevation. The song quickly became another dance-floor anthem for Tank fans across the world!
