In Stores Now: Micah Stampley “Ransomed” Micah Stampley has released his highly anticipated album “Ransomed,” a follow up to his 2006 album “A Fresh Wind.” Led by single “The Corinthian Song,” written by V. Michael McKay, “Ransomed” was recorded live in Atlanta. “The CD is a mix of different styles-it is not all contemporary, not all praise and worship, not all traditional-but will appeal to a diverse audience and includes something the older generation will be able to listen to as well as the younger generation. I like to think of it like a pot of gumbo-everyone can dig into the pot and get what they want and need,” says Stampley. “Ransomed” becomes Micah Stampley’s third studio album and follows his rise from the 2004 Stellar Award Talent Search to his historic Billboard debut with “The Songbook of Micah”. Taken from 2 Corinthians 4:7-10, “The Corinthian Song” addresses the struggles and victories we all go through in life. “This song was written with the belief that the organization of church has become very commercialized today,â states Stampley. âMany of the churches and ministries have forgotten why we are saved and are not focused on reaching the downtrodden. This is a reminder that Jesus is the same yesterday, today and tomorrow.” “Ransomed” is available in stores now and through online retailers. On The Gospel Charts: (This Week’s Billboard Top 5) 1.
