Usher is reportedly taking R&B singer/songwriter Ne-Yo’s advice and enlisting the “Take A Bow” writer for his next album. “Ne Yo is actually potentially gonna be a part of this project,” Usher told MTV recently when referring to his next album, a project he hopes to put out as early as spring of 2009. While Usher is reportedly content with Ne-Yo and enlisting him for his next album, the “Miss Independent” star says Usher wasn’t focused on his most recent effort “Here I Stand.” “I was one of the first people to tell Usher, personally, that I didn’t think he was focused on the album.” “I just think he’s gotta get back to what he knows, which is to get out there and make ’em dance â entertain them at the end of the day. Like, it seems like he had a lot to say, almost like he had something to prove with the ‘Here I Stand’ record.” While Usher has spent time talking with Ne-Yo about his next album, the R&B crooner has also vowed to return to producers he has worked with throughout his career. “It’s really about bringing the center people — who have been with me throughout the years.” Usher is currently touring North America on his “One Night Stand” tour which winds through Atlanta, Detroit and Chicago this week.
