Lemar, one the of the UK’s top R&B male artists, is set to release “The Reason,” his fourth studio album with the help of hit making international producers. Helmed by Jim Johnson (Lil Wayne), Jack Splash (Alicia Keys), Salaam Remi (Nas) and Jimmy Beanz (Justin Timberlake), “The Reason” finds Lemar tapping into the real life experiences and soul filled tracks like “Over You” and the up tempo feel good record “Heartbreaker”. Spending time in studios from Los Angeles to Sweden and Miami Lemar says: “I didnât go into the studio with an agenda; I tried to remind myself of the reasons why I do music, the reasons why I wanted to be an artist in the first place and the reasons behind life.” The first single, If She Knew, co-produced by SoulShock and Karlin combines Lemar’s heartfelt lyrics with layers of acoustic guitar. Lemar has released three top 10 UK albums and has sold over two million copies since releasing his debut album “Dedicated” in 2003. “The Reason” hits stores and online retailers in the UK Nov. 24.
