R&B superstar Chris Brown has officially taken his next step in music by launching his own record label. After great success with two multi-platinum albums and several chart topping singles including this year’s “Forever” and “With You” the R&B phenom has inked a distribution deal with Interscope to release future projects under the imprint CBE Records. According to sources, Brown’s CBE Records will release a project from Scooter Smiff who is currently in the studio working with the “Superhuman” singer and Polow Da Don. Smiff’s album is currently titled “Head of My Class,’ the first single’s video, also titled “Head of My Class” premiered today. (Video Below) With the launch of CBE Records, Chris Brown caps off a phenomenal year that has included the re-release of his hit album “Exclusive,” several Grammy nominations, a BET Award for Best Male R&B Artist, two 2008 MOBO Awards for Best R&B/Soul and Best International Act in addition to securing a number of films to be released through Screen Gems in 2009.
