Chris Brown Follows Rihanna, R&B Phenom Dethrones Katy Perry On Pop Charts

Katy Perry’s “I Kissed A Girl,” was officially double teamed by the powers that be – Rihanna and Chris Brown. Brown’s “Forever” follows Rihanna’s “Disturbia” climb to no.1 on the pop charts this week, making the single his first Pop chart #1 since his self titled debut. Even though Brown has topped the Billboard Hot 100 charts numerous times since his self titled debut, the “Forever” singer has only topped the Pop chart once before with the hit single “Run It.” This week Brown’s hiatus from the pop chart ends with “Forever” climbing up to the top of the pop chart while also ending Katy Perry’s “I Kissed A Girl” reign. In related news, Chris Brown’s “Forever” has been nominated for Video of the Year at this year’s MTV Video Music Awards.
