Hollywood: Nia Long and Sanaa Lathan Get Animated For FOX

Hollywood actresses Nia Long and Sanaa Lathan are officially on the payroll for the FOX animated series “The Cleveland Show.” Slated to premiere next year, the show which has been called a spin-off of the network’s animated series ‘The Family Guy,’ centers around the character of Cleveland Brown who moves from a major city with his family to a small Virginia town. Brown and his family learn to adapt to their new surroundings as they encounter a “redneck” named Lester and a host of other ‘unique’ neighbors including a family seemingly stuck in the Victorian era. Lathan will voice Brown’s wife, Donna, while Long will voice the character of rebellious stepdaughter Roberta. The series is written and executive-produced by Seth MacFarlane (Family Guy), Rich Appel (The Simpsons) and Mike Henry (Family Guy).
