Michelle Williams Dances Straight To #1 With ‘We Break The Dawn’

Grammy Award-winning R&B singer Michelle Williams has a lot to celebrate, her first single “We Break The Dawn” featuring Flo Rida rocketed straight to the top of the Billboard Hot Dance Airplay chart this week just a couple weeks before the release of her highly anticipated album “Unexpected.” Williams, one-third of the chart topping group Destiny’s Child, released “We Break The Dawn” earlier this year accompanied by a video for the single with noted British director Phil Griffin (Amy Winehouse, Prince). Produced by Wayne Wilkins and Andrew Frampton, who co-wrote the track with the singer/songwriter Solange Knowles the single is the first taste of what’s expected on her new album. Titled “Unexpected,” Williams’ long-awaited third album, however, first pop/R&B project since 2004’s gospel hit album “Do You Know” features a collection of contemporary pop/dance classics including the second single “Stop This Car,” produced by Stargate. Williams also teamed up with Jim Jonsin (Jamie Foxx, Sean Paul), Rico Love (Usher, Omarion), and Matthew Knowles on her upcoming release. Unexpected hits stores August 12th !
