Chris Brown is set to return to the big screen next year with two new films. According to recent reports the chart topping R&B phenom will join T.I. in “Bone Deep,”making it the second film, slated for release in 2009, for the singer who will also star in “Phenom.” “Bone Deep,” a Screen Gems film about a group of bank robbers who pull off a daring high rise heist also stars Idris Elba and T.I. who as previously reported picked up a three picture deal with Screen Gems this spring. Brown will play one of the members of the heist crew in the film. Brown’s role in “Bone Deep” becomes his second deal with Screen Gems. He is also slated to appear in “Phenom,” also due in 2009 where the “Forever” singer appears as a basketball star who goes pro after high school. Brown made his feature film debut in the 2007 blockbuster “Stomp The Yard” which grossed over $60 million at the domestic box office, later starring in the holiday film “This Christmas” which brought in $49 million.
