Stepping out on his own, R&B singer Marvin Scandrick III, known as Slim of the hit making R&B quartet 112 is set to make his solo debut soon, led by the new single “So Fly.” He may be known to you as the lead singer of the group that dominated the R&B charts with hits like “Peaches & Cream,” “Anywhere,” “Only You” and “Cupid” but Slim has been busy for much of the last year putting finishing touches on his solo debut due this year. Led by the single “So Fly” featuring Young Joc, Slim says “a new fresh sound with a lot of swagger is what I’m on” when asked about his upcoming album “Loves Crazy.” In addition to collaborating with Young Joc the singer who says “I’ve always been a gentleman of R&B, a classy type guy whose all about making the fans happy,” has pulled in a list of Hip Hop heavies including UGK, 8Ball & MJG, and Slim Thug for the project. Although a release date has not been set at this time, the singer shot the video for “So Fly” recently featuring Young Joc and Shawty Lo. Slim’s debut “Loves Crazy” will be issued via the singer’s label M3 Productions in cooperation with Atlantic and Asylum Records. “So Fly” is available now via iTunes and other online music retailers.
