Musiq Soulchild Issues ‘Radio’ Plus New Albums Due This Fall

R&B/soul singer Musiq Soulchild is busy putting finishing touches on two new releases due this fall. The singer known for his hits “Buddy,” Forthenight,” and “Teach Me” issued the first single from his forthcoming follow up to 2007’s “Luvanmusiq” album entitled “Radio” this week with plans to issue his fifth studio album this fall followed by a “Christmas Album.” According to Musiq’s Myspace, the new single should be impacting radio the week of June 23rd, with the album due sometime this fall. “ I been workin’ on this new album, my 5th one as you know, and i think this is gonna be my best one yet, I mean don’t get me wrong, im not in no way knockin the other jawns, im very proud of the work I put out through the years, and with the help of all of you folks out there having my back on it and making it all such a huge success, I don’t know what else to be but grateful about it” Of the new single “Radio” the Grammy nominated singer was quick to issue a heads up stating “this record is different.” “Radio,” produced by Dru Castro Music, C4 and Taktix is a different sound for the soul singer who looks to be referencing the ATL-Snap record phenomenon on which the Grammy Award winner sings “Don’t front you know you love it (put it on the radio), don’t be scared you can crank it bruh(just turn up the radio), don’t be shy you can shake it girl(just turn on the radio).” Musiq a new resident of Atlanta, admits “this was probably the funnest song I ever recorded.” In addition to the new single and album, Musiq looks forward to releasing his first “Holiday” album this year. “I’m havin’ a whole lotta fun with, trying out some knew things, spreading my creative wings a little bit, all in the name of the holiday season, actually I know some of y’all been waitin’ on me to do one, so come this Christmas, I got you.”
