50 Cent served his former girlfriend Shaniqua Tompkins with a $20 million defamation lawsuit Friday, for allegedly issuing false and offensive statements about the G-Unit mogul. As previously reported on Singersroom, Tompkins who also filed a restraining order against the star Friday, accused 50 Cent of âtrying to killâ her and their son by intentionally setting the fire that destroyed his Long Island home. According to PEOPLE, 50 Cent’s attorney has filed a visitation petition alleging that since the fire, Tompkins has been deliberately preventing the rapper from seeing his son in part by not revealing their new place of residence, in direct violation of a court order from last June. “Sheâs completely cut him off from his son,” says Kimmel. “The trouble in the relationship is driven by the anger and hostility thatâs coming from her.” But Tompkins says she won’t reveal where she and Marquise are staying to Jackson because the fire “was a threat on my life. This is my child’s life. This is our lives.” In related news, 50 Centâs G-Unit will release âTerminate on Sightâ July 1st, the follow up to their 2003 platinum-selling effort âBeg For Mercy.â
