Eric Benet Feels Good on New Album ‘Love & Life’

Grammy Award-nominated R&B singer Eric Benet looks forward to releasing his fourth album ‘Love & Life’ this fall. The new album and follow up to Benet’s 3rd studio album ‘Hurricane,’ is led by the recently released single “You’re the Only One.” Benet, known widely for his Platinum selling album “A Day in the Life” (1999) and Grammy nominated collaboration with Tamia on “Spend My Life With You” says “I wanted to make a record that was a good feeling R&B record, and some of the best R&B for me growing up had a dash of gospel, a couple dashes of jazz. You could feel the social consciousness and you could feel where the artist was in their life. Whatever challenges, victories, blessings that I’m presently experiencing and the fruit of all that, are the songs that I write.” Benet co-wrote and produced eleven of the twelve tracks on the album with partners, Demonte Posey and George Nash Jr. Currently climbing the Urban AC charts, “You’re the Only One” features a piano laden backdrop met by the synthesized harmony of soul melody where Benet speaks of time being the determining factor on love meant to be. It is abundantly clear through Love & Life that Eric Benet feels good, and it is magnifies from the inside out. As his journey to now continues to reflect the abundance he experiences, Eric wants his music to represent sheer honesty. “I want people to be able to discover some of the truths that I have and to feel the passion for life written between the lines and to just to put it pure and simply—to be moved by my music.” Currently on tour, Benet will make an appearance at the BET Awards next week and KR&B…105.7, the New R&B’s Forever Thirty Birthday Weekend later this month. Eric Benet’s Love & Life hits stores September 9th, the single “You’re the Only One” is available through online retailers now. Click here to purchase on iTunes.
