Former Blackstreet member Chauncey Black is prepping the release of his debut album under Busta Rhymes Flipmode/Geffen Imprint. Black, known for his part in the R&B group Blackstreet through 2006, enjoyed the success of hit singles including “No Diggity,” “Fix,” and “Before I Let You Go” before leaving the group to pursue solo endeavors. Under his new contract with Flipmode/Geffen Black will release his debut solo album tentatively titled “Church Boy” led by the fun and flirty single “Everyday Is Your Birthday.” Although no release date has been set at this time, Black’s album is expected to be released later this year. A video for the first single “Everyday Is Your Birthday” has been shot and is expected to premiere soon.
