Veteran actor Samuel L. Jackson inked a first look deal with CBS Paramount this week that will include developing and executive producing projects for the small screen. Known for his roles in films including “Snakes on a Plane,” “Shaft,” “Deep Blue Sea,” and many others the actor will meet with writers over the next few weeks to scout potential talent. According to Variety, the deal which spans two years includes an office for the star at the CBS Studio Center. “I look forward to having as great an influence on other’s lives as television has had on mine through this collaboration,” Jackson said. The actor previously served as executive producer on Spike TV’s “Afro Samurai” and has also developed projects for UPN and Showtime. Next up, Samuel L. Jackson will appear in the films “Soul Men” and “The Spirit” due later this year.
