Usher Stands Tall and Rihanna Bows at #1 on This Week’s UK Charts

R&B superstar Usher is off to a good start this week, the singer whose fourth studio album “Here I Stand”was released Tuesday tops this week’s BBC Radio Albums chart. Led by single “Love In This Club” the set has also pushed well over 200,000 copies in the U,S. thus far, putting the singer at #1 on this weeks Billboard Charts. “Here I Stand,” Usher’s follow up to the international chart topping album “Confessions” is also expected to trump this year’s top debut, Mariah Carey’s “E=MC2″ which debuted in April with 463,000 copies. Elsewhere on this week’s UK charts, Rihanna bows at #1 for the second week with “Take a Bow” followed by Fergie whose single featuring Nelly, “Party People” lands at #2 on the singles chart.
