R. Kelly’s Jan. 12 concert at Boardwalk Hall Arena in Atlantic City, NJ, has been canceled, according to the venue’s website. The show will not be rescheduled and refunds are available at the point of purchase. The Atlantic City cancellation is one of several bumps in the road Kelly has faced on this tour. Recently, a Chicago judge ordered the singer to cancel a Jan. 13 concert to ensure that he makes a Jan. 14 court date. Several other shows have been canceled for various reasons, reportedly including poor ticket sales. The tour’s promoter was hit with a lawsuit filed by opening act Ne-Yo, who was booted from the outing early-on. Additionally, black activists–trying to bring attention to Kelly’s alleged history of sexual contact with girls barely in their teens–mounted a protest the day of Kelly’s concert at the Forum in Inglewood, CA.
