When teen star Chris Brown’s new single “Wall To Wall” was leaked to radio four months ahead of the release of his sophomore CD, Exclusive, his label, Jive Records, was heated. But now Jive is celebrating the fact that “Wall To Wall” has become one of the fastest-rising singles on Billboard’s Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart, landing recently at Number 22. Exclusive, the title of Brownâs sophomore follow-up, was originally going to be called Graduation but has been renamed, since rapper Kanye West’s upcoming album will also go by the same name. Chris Brown has been working on his second album for the past months, including sessions with production team Dre & Vidal, Bryan-Michael Cox, Scott Storch, the Underdogs, will.i.am, T-Pain, Stargate, Justin Timberlake, Timbaland, R. Kelly and Pharrell. “I am still going to keep it so my younger fans can continue to listen to my music, but I got a couple of joints on there that’s for some of the older people. The new CD has been pushed up from a September release to August 28th. Chris Brownâs self titled debut album was released on November 29, 2005. His debut single âRun It!â, was #1 in the United States, Japan, and Australia. Following âRun It!â, âYo (Excuse Me Miss)â became Brownâs second top 10 hit in the US, peaking at #7, and #13 in the UK. The disc has been certified platinum by the RIAA.
