Troubled singer Whitney Houston’s comeback album hit a stumbling block when her songs were branded boring by R&B singer/songwriter Ne-Yo. Ne-Yo was asked to give his opinion on eight new Whitney tracks by music mogul Clive Davis, but wasn’t blown away by the superstar’s latest efforts. He says all the tracks focused on her split from husband Bobby Brown and overcoming her drug problem. “They all had the one same theme, which was ‘My name is Whitney Houston and this is my triumphant comeback’,” Ne-Yo says. “We all understand she has gone through a lot. “I’m sure we all get that but I think she needs songs about regular everyday life. So that’s what I’m planning to add to the album – songs about everyday emotions.”
