Troubled singer Whitney Houston’s comeback album hit a stumbling block when her songs were branded boring by R&B singer/songwriter Ne-Yo. Ne-Yo was asked to give his opinion on eight new Whitney tracks by music mogul Clive Davis, but wasnât blown away by the superstarâs latest efforts. He says all the tracks focused on her split from husband Bobby Brown and overcoming her drug problem. âThey all had the one same theme, which was âMy name is Whitney Houston and this is my triumphant comebackâ,â Ne-Yo says. âWe all understand she has gone through a lot. âIâm sure we all get that but I think she needs songs about regular everyday life. So thatâs what Iâm planning to add to the album – songs about everyday emotions.â
