Since his first effort last year (“Fear”), Toronto-based artist Raahiem, continues to quietly carve out a space for himself within the R&B world with his debut project The Fear Of The Unknown. On the project, Raahiem tackles a conversation often avoided today – fear.
Toronto’s 20-year old R&B singer Raahiem returns with his third effort from his debut project FOTU (Fear of the Unknown). With Valentine’s Day season behind us, the airy ballad “Love & War” seemingly serves as an honest yet harsh reality check in a relationship.
Reminiscent of the nostalgic R&B we’ve all grown to love mixed with his unique tone and contemporary elements, the sultry song focuses on wanting to immerse himself completely with a lover.
“I wanna be the one to give you love, what are you afraid of?” he asks in the song, which soothingly glides along in a state of sonic bliss; it only gets better with the guitar solo towards the final quarter.
