Brooke Valentine is well known for her breakout hit “Girlfight,” but she’s been relatively absent from the music scene over the last five years. Back in May 2016, she joined Kreesha Turner & DaniLeigh for the banger, ‘Mama,’ but went back under the radar before joining “Love & Hip Hop: Hollywood.”
With her name back in conversations, Brooke is taking advantage with the brand new Yonni-produced single, “Now,” a mid-tempo gem that reflects her current relationship situation, privy to all on LHHH. On the richly-textured song, the singer/songwriter entertains with satisfying vocals and lush melodies as she urges her man to claim his prize.
“Don’t tell me you don’t wanna see me with anyone else / When you know you wanna claim this for yourself,” she sings, while continuing her enticing delivery on the bridge, singing, “Whatever you wanna do/Leaving it all to you/Say the word, I’m so ready.”
Currently, “Now” isn’t attached to any announced projects, but the song does clear the way for more new music from Brooke, who first burst onto the scene in 2005.
